Claim Information
If you need to file a claim with Rocket Expedited Services, you can fill out and
print a
claim form online. Once the form is printed, it will also include
instructions indicating where to mail or fax the form.
The claim form is in .pdf format and requires Adobe Acrobat Reader.
If needed, Acrobat Reader can be downloaded from
here.
Claim Filing Instructions
- All claims for Loss/Damage/Delay must be filed with this carrier within nine (9) months
after delivery.
- In cases of Concealed Damage, Rocket Expedited Services must be notified in writing
within fifteen (15) days of delivery or the claim will likely be declined.
- Be sure to attach a letter of explanation if there are any Special Circumstances we
should know about.
- Please provide a copy of the Signed Delivery Receipt, Invoice for repair or replacement,
and pictures (if available) when filing a claim.
- An Acknowledgement of Claim will be sent by this carrier when the claim is received.
- In no case will this carrier accept responsibility for Consequential Damages or Special
Damages beyond the value of the goods that are the subject of a claim.
- Prior to any settlement, Rocket Expedited Services will request applicable salvage
rights. If salvage rights cannot be obtained through no fault of this carrier, this
claim will likely be declined.
- Prior to any settlement, all freight charges must be paid in full. Include any
applicable freight charges in your claim presentation.
- Contact your sales representative or the Towne Air Freight Claims Department at
(574) 233-3183 with any questions you might have regarding your claim.
Note: All Damages/Overages/Shortages
must be noted on the delivery receipt before
signing for the shipment.
